Opening Up the Kitchen

The kitchen in this home felt closed off and limited by its original layout. By removing a half wall on the left side, we gained a wider, more open space that allows for a full wall of cabinetry and a large, eye-catching hood. Replacing the angled island with a rectangular one improves movement through the kitchen and provides more usable workspace, making the room easier to cook in and gather around.

From the beginning, the homeowners had one clear goal: create a traditional, timeless style that would hold up beautifully for decades. Clean lines, classic elements, and simple elegance guided every design choice.

This remodel required us to remain in close contact with the homeowners throughout the process, as we helped them balance their set budget while still achieving the high-end finishes they wanted. And as previously mentioned, the homeowners wanted to incorporate a few original elements from their previous home, including parts of the fireplace and some laundry room cabinetry. This request required careful handiwork to blend the old and new into one seamless build. We updated the existing structures with a balanced design that focused on lifestyle upgrades while maintaining the classic style of the home.
